About Zoezi
Zoezi was a female Western Lowland Gorilla who died on August 18, 2010. She lived to approximately 9 years and 8 months of age.
Born at Apenheul Primate Park on December 14, 2000, she was captive-born to mother Lobo and father Bongo.
In November 2009, she transferred from Apenheul Primate Park to Parc Zoològic de Barcelona, where she spent her final months. Her death was caused by peritonitis resulting from kidney disease.
