Viringika

Viringika is a female Western Lowland Gorilla born on 23 March 1995, making her 31 years old. She is a well‑known resident of Port Lympne Wild Animal Park.
Her mother is Inge and her father is N’gola. She entered the world at Zoo Zürich, where she was captive‑born.
She spent her first years at Zoo Zürich until 23 January 2001, when she was moved to Zoo Leipzig. After nearly 14 years there, she was transferred on 17 December 2014 to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, where she has remained.
At Port Lympne she enjoys a spacious outdoor enclosure and frequently appears in the park’s educational programmes, helping visitors learn about gorilla conservation.
