VAL-12-01

VAL-12-01 was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died on April 3, 2012. Tragically, he passed away on the same day he was born.

Born at Bioparc Valencia on April 3, 2012, he was captive-born to parents Fossey and Mambie. His entire life was spent at Bioparc Valencia, where he also died.

Though his time was brief, VAL-12-01 was part of the Western Lowland Gorilla population in European zoos. His parents Fossey and Mambie were part of the breeding program at Bioparc Valencia.
