Trudy

Trudy was a female Western Lowland Gorilla who died on July 25, 2019. Born in Africa, she was wild-caught rather than born in captivity.

Both her parents were wild gorillas. Her early life began in her natural habitat before she entered the zoo system.

Her zoo life started at Saint Louis Zoological Park before moving to Buffalo Zoo on August 19, 1982, where she lived until April 21, 1988. She then transferred to The Little Rock Zoological Gardens, where she spent her final years until her death in 2019.
