Tiny

Tiny was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died tragically young on May 12, 2011. Born on October 26, 2010, at the Zoological Society of London, he lived for just six months.

His parents were Mjukuu and Yeboah, and he was captive-born at the London zoo. The young gorilla’s life ended due to complications from anesthesia – he was over-anesthetized during what was likely a routine procedure.

Tiny spent his entire brief life at the Zoological Society of London, where both his birth and death occurred. His short time serves as a reminder of the delicate nature of caring for these magnificent apes in captivity.
