Tano

Tano was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died on February 28, 2012. He lived for approximately six months.

Born at Gaia Zoo on August 27, 2011, he was captive-born to parents Dalila and Makula. His brief life was spent entirely at his birth facility.

Tano’s death was caused by intestinal infection and pneumonia. Despite the care he received, these complications proved fatal at such a young age.
