About Pitchou
Pitchou is a female Western Lowland Gorilla living at Limbe Wildlife Centre. Born on June 4, 1996, she is now 28 years old.
Born in Cameroon to wild parents, Pitchou arrived at Limbe Wildlife Centre in April 1998 when she was nearly two years old. She has remained at the facility ever since.
As a Western Lowland Gorilla, she represents one of the most endangered great ape subspecies. Her care at Limbe Wildlife Centre contributes to conservation efforts for her species in the wild.
