N'dowe

N’dowe is a male Western Lowland Gorilla living at Paignton Zoo & Animal Wildlife Park. Born in September 2003, he is now 21 years old.

Born at Parc Zoològic de Barcelona, he is captive-born with well-documented lineage. His parents are Kena and Xebo.

His life has included moves between several European facilities. After his birth in Barcelona, he transferred to Zoologisch-botanischer Garten Wilhelma in Germany, then to Zoo de la Boissiere du Doré in France, before returning briefly to Wilhelma. He has made Paignton Zoo his home since arriving there.
