Mokube

Mokube was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died on November 10, 2015. Born on September 4, 2015, he lived for only about two months.

Born at Zoo Hannover, he was captive-born to parents Zazie and Batouri. His brief life ended tragically when he suffered a fractured skull after falling from a ledge.

Mokube spent his entire short life at Zoo Hannover, where both his birth and death occurred. His death at such a young age represents one of the challenges faced in gorilla conservation and breeding programs.
