Makoua

Makoua is a female Western Lowland Gorilla living at Burgers’ Zoo. She is 20 years old.

Born at Zoologischer Garten Berlin on June 11, 2004, she is captive-born. Her parents are Effie and Derrik.

At just four months old, she transferred to Zoologisch-botanischer Garten Wilhelma, where she lived for four years. In November 2008, she moved to Burgers’ Zoo, where she has remained for over fifteen years.
