About Lina
Lina was a female Western Lowland Gorilla who died on March 30, 2012. She lived to 39 years of age.
Born on January 10, 1973, at Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens, she was captive-born to parents Dianne and Bom.
In 1992, she transferred from Los Angeles Zoo to ABQ BioPark, where she spent her final twenty years. Her death was caused by a massive brain aneurysm, leading to the difficult decision to euthanize her.
