Kukuma

Kukuma was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died on February 25, 2011. He lived to 21 years of age.

Born at Apenheul Primate Park on September 29, 1989, he was captive-born to parents Frala and Kibabu.

During his lifetime, Kukuma lived at three different facilities. He spent his first year at Apenheul Primate Park before transferring to Zoologisch-botanischer Garten Wilhelma in August 1990. In October 1993, he moved to Belfast Zoological Gardens, where he lived for the remainder of his life until his death from anemia in 2011.
