Kimo

Kimo was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died on November 3, 2017. He lived for just over seven months, from his birth on March 22, 2017, until his death later that year.

Born at Parque de la Naturaleza de Cabárceno, he was captive-born to parents Gwet and Niky. He spent his entire brief life at the Spanish zoo where he was born.

His death was caused by peritonitis, a serious abdominal infection. Though his time was tragically short, he was part of the important Western Lowland Gorilla breeding program.
