Kimbo

Kimbo was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died on June 28, 1990. He lived for just over one year, passing away at approximately 14 months of age.

Born on April 24, 1989, at Zoo Aquarium de Madrid, he was captive-born to parents Nadia and Bioko. The young gorilla spent his entire short life at the Madrid zoo.

His brief existence ended on June 28, 1990, at the same facility where he was born. Though his time was tragically short, he was part of the important Western Lowland Gorilla breeding program.
