Kimani

Kimani was a female Western Lowland Gorilla who died on June 23, 2022. She lived to 6 years of age.

Born at Calgary Zoo on March 9, 2016, she was captive-born to parents Kioja and Kakinga. She spent her entire life at Calgary Zoo.

Kimani died from cancer affecting her liver and lungs. Her death was a loss to the Western Lowland Gorilla population in captivity.
