About Kifta
Kifta was a female Western Lowland Gorilla who died on March 1, 2013. She lived to approximately 6 years of age.
Born on April 2, 2006, at Howletts Wild Animal Park, she was captive-born to parents Tambabi and Kifu.
In August 2011, she transferred from Howletts Wild Animal Park to Fundação Zoo-Botânica de Belo Horizonte in Brazil, where she spent her final years. Her death was caused by severe and diffuse hemorrhagic colitis.
