Kibibi

Kibibi is a female Western Lowland Gorilla living at National Zoological Park. She is 15 years old.

Born at National Zoological Park on January 10, 2009, she has spent her entire life at this facility. Her birth represents successful captive breeding efforts for this subspecies.

Her parents are Mandara and Kwame, both important members of the zoo’s gorilla program. As a captive-born gorilla, Kibibi contributes to conservation efforts and helps educate visitors about her species.
