HOW-24-01

HOW-24-01 is a female Western Lowland Gorilla born on 8 May 2024 at Howletts Wild Animal Park. She is under one year old and has spent her entire life at the same facility.

Her parents are Dihi and Ebeki, both long‑time members of the Howletts troop. Growing up alongside them gives her a familiar social environment from the start.

Keepers monitor her growth closely, providing regular health checks and enrichment that encourage natural behaviours. As a captive‑born infant, she benefits from a diet and veterinary care tailored to her species.

The team looks forward to watching her develop with her family, adding to the ongoing conservation work that aims to safeguard Western Lowland Gorillas.
