Gana

Gana was a female Western Lowland Gorilla who died on January 27, 2010. She lived to 13 years of age, passing away from encephalitis at Allwetterzoo Münster.

Born on January 18, 1997, at Kölner Zoo, she was captive-born to parents Gina and Kim. Her early years were spent at her birth zoo, where she developed under the care of experienced keepers.

In June 2004, she transferred to Allwetterzoo Münster, where she would spend the remaining six years of her life. The move represented a new chapter for the young gorilla as she adapted to her new environment and caregivers.
