About Fubu

Fubu was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died on June 4, 2026. He lived to 22 years and 8 months of age.

Born at Howletts Wild Animal Park on October 13, 2003, he was captive-born to parents Bamilla and Kifu.

His life included transfers between facilities. He spent his early years at Howletts Wild Animal Park until July 20, 2010, when he moved to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. He remained there until October 17, 2017.

Fubu died at the Gorilla Protection Project Lesio-Louna, marking the end of his nearly 23-year life dedicated to his species’ conservation efforts.
