Fang

Fang was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died tragically young on October 8, 1975. He lived for only 14 days after his birth on September 24, 1975.

Born at Parc Zoològic de Barcelona, he was captive-born to parents Bimvili and Copito de Nieve. His brief life ended at the same zoo where he was born.

Fang’s death was attributed to lung disease, a condition that proved fatal despite his young age. His short life represents the challenges faced by infant gorillas in captivity during the 1970s.
