Esuma

Esuma was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died as an infant at Parc Zoològic de Barcelona. Born on April 2, 1980, he lived for only five days before passing away on April 7, 1980.

Born in captivity at Parc Zoològic de Barcelona, his parents were Yuma and the famous albino gorilla Copito de Nieve. Despite his brief life, Esuma was part of an important breeding program for Western Lowland Gorillas.

He spent his entire short life at his birth zoo in Barcelona, where he also died. His early death highlights the challenges faced in gorilla conservation and captive breeding programs.
