Esseng †

Esseng † is a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died as an infant. He lived for only 11 days after his birth on March 30, 1980.

Born at Parc Zool gic de Barcelona, he was captive-born to parents Bimvili and Copito de Nieve. His father, Copito de Nieve, was the famous albino gorilla who became an icon of the Barcelona Zoo.

Esseng’s brief life ended on April 10, 1980, at the same zoo where he was born. He never left Barcelona during his short time alive.
