Donge

Donge was a female Western Lowland Gorilla who died on August 10, 2007. She lived to 22 years of age.

Born at Zoologischer Garten Wilhelma on April 10, 1985, she was captive-born to parents Dina and Banjo.

In May 1988, when she was three years old, Donge transferred to Calgary Zoo. She spent the remainder of her life there, nearly two decades in total.

Her death was caused by an intestinal abscess and blood clot on the heart. She passed away at Calgary Zoo after living there for 19 years.
