Doba

Doba is a female Western Lowland Gorilla who died on June 19, 2013. She lived to 16 years of age.

Born on August 14, 1996, at Royal Rotterdam Zoological Garden, she was captive-born to parents Dura and Ernst.

During her lifetime, Doba lived at three different facilities. She spent her first months at Royal Rotterdam Zoological Gardens before transferring to Zoologisch-botanischer Garten Wilhelma in March 1997. In November 1999, she moved to Zoo Heidelberg, where she remained until her death.
