Djengi

Djengi was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died on May 13, 2012. He lived to approximately 11 years of age.

Born at Bristol Zoo Gardens on June 26, 2000, he was captive-born to parents Undi II and Claus.

His life took him across three European facilities. From Bristol Zoo Gardens, he transferred to Zoologisch-botanischer Garten Wilhelma in April 2001, where he spent nearly three years. In March 2004, he moved to Zoo Schmiding, where he lived until his death from gastrointestinal problems eight years later.
