Djanga

Djanga is a male Western Lowland Gorilla living at Mefou Primate Sanctuary. Born on June 4, 2026, he is still very young.

Born in Africa to wild parents, Djanga came to the sanctuary through circumstances not fully documented in his records. His transfer history shows movement from an unknown location to his present home at Mefou Primate Sanctuary.

As a Western Lowland Gorilla, he represents one of the most critically endangered great ape subspecies. Both his mother and father were wild gorillas, making his care at the sanctuary part of broader conservation efforts for his subspecies.
