Delilah

Delilah was a female Western Lowland Gorilla who died on January 24, 2024. She lived to 61 years of age.

Born in Africa in 1963, she was wild-caught rather than born in captivity. Both her parents were wild gorillas.

Delilah spent her later years at Belfast Zoological Gardens, having transferred there from Bristol Zoo Gardens on June 30, 1992. She was euthanized due to age-related health issues at Belfast Zoo, where she had lived for over three decades.
