Bobga

Bobga is a male Western Lowland Gorilla living at Mefou Primate Sanctuary. Born on June 4, 2026, in Cameroon as a captive-born gorilla, he represents the next generation of his critically endangered subspecies.

Both his parents were wild gorillas, bringing valuable genetic diversity to the captive population. At his young age, he has already become an important part of the sanctuary’s conservation mission.

As a Western Lowland Gorilla, he represents one of the most endangered great ape subspecies. His life at the sanctuary contributes to conservation efforts for his species, helping ensure the survival of these magnificent primates for future generations.
