BAR-85-02 was a male Western Lowland Gorilla who died tragically on his birth date. Born on October 12, 1985, at Parc Zoològic de Barcelona, he lived only one day.
His parents were Yuma and the famous albino gorilla Copito de Nieve. As a captive-born gorilla, he represented the continuation of his father’s genetic legacy at the Barcelona zoo.
Sadly, BAR-85-02 died from cranial trauma on the same day he was born. His brief life ended at Parc Zoològic de Barcelona, where he had entered the world just hours earlier.
